Jamie V. Smith

Associate Attorney

Colorado Springs divorce attorney Jamie SmithPrior to joining Cordell & Cordell, Colorado Springs divorce attorney Jamie V. Smith spent many years in government law representing the “entity.” Eventually, she began to desire a more personal interaction with individual clients and their cases.

That’s what led her to family law.

“Family law is the perfect avenue to truly help people during one of the most difficult events of their life,” Ms. Smith said.

At the beginning of each case, Ms. Smith takes the time to advise her clients that she will always remain honest with them and will do everything legally and ethically to achieve their desired result. Her empathetic nature enables her to place herself in her client’s shoes and relate to the challenges they are facing.

“My client can count on me to give both practical and legal advice,” she said.

Inevitably, there are a host of hurdles that come with divorce. Ms. Smith can’t eliminate those challenges, but she can help her client overcome them.

“My job is to ease my client’s levels of stress and anxiety and help them navigate what could otherwise be a very trying time with life-altering results,” Ms. Smith said.
