Before joining Cordell & Cordell, Lincoln divorce attorney Megan E. McDowell gained experience in juvenile court and had an opportunity to work at a family law firm prior to attending law school. There, she learned that family law provides diversity in cases and the opportunity for creative problem solving, which is what drew her interest.
“I have good interpersonal skills and am able to relate and build relationships with clients, other attorneys, judges, and court staff,” Ms. McDowell said.
Ms. McDowell always provides her clients with honest feedback, including what the likelihood is of them prevailing on any particular issue based on her experience. She helps them assess their goals and prioritize those goals throughout the case.
“Since most cases don’t end with one side getting everything they want, knowing which issues are most important to them helps me strategize in collaboration with them throughout the case to get them the best result possible,” she said.
