To Erica Gittings, a parent is a parent regardless of gender.
“I like making sure the court actually recognizes that children need both of their parents and ensuring they are looked at as parents whether they are a man or a woman,” she said.
Her experience as a Guardian ad Litem helps her when it comes to custody battles and provides a real benefit to her clients.
“I’m able to prepare my client better when meeting with a Guardian ad Litem because I know what they are looking since I am one,” Ms. Gittings said.
In fact, Ms. Gittings had a client who was awarded sole custody and primary placement of his children while “making sure the kids had the least amount of exposure to the trauma of the situation.”
Recognizing that this is a difficult time in your life, it is important to have an advocate to protect your interests both in the present and in the future.
“I am proud to provide each of my clients with the knowledge, attention, dedication and compassion they deserve,” Ms. Gittings said.
