Three Nebraska Attorneys Named Rising Stars By Super Lawyers

Super LawyersCordell & Cordell Nebraska divorce attorneys Jamie Kinkaid, Nancy Shannon, and Bradley Marsicek were recently named Great Plains Rising Stars in the family law practice area by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters rating service of outstanding lawyers. 

Ms. Kinkaid and Ms. Shannon earned the distinction for the second consecutive year while Mr. Marsicek received the honor for the first time. All three attorneys practice in the firm’s Omaha office.

Ms. Kinkaid, who is a member of the Iowa and Nebraska State Bar Associations, earned her juris doctor from Creighton University School of Law.

Ms. Shannon is a member of the American Bar Association, American Inns of Court, and Nebraska Bar Association where she is a member of the Young Lawyers and Family Law divisions. She received her juris doctor from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she was a finalist in a Moot court competition and active in Client Counseling activities.

Mr. Marsicek obtained his juris doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law and is a member of the Nebraska Bar Association.

The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.

Lawyers are asked to nominate the best attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. They are instructed to nominate lawyers they have personally observed in action — whether as opposing counsel or co-counsel, or through other firsthand courtroom observation.
