Duffy, Jill A.

Jill A. Duffy is an Associate Attorney in the Troy, Michigan office of Cordell & Cordell. She is licensed to practice in the state of Michigan.

Ms. Duffy received her BA in Psychology and Spanish and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Oakland University. She received her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

While in law school, Ms. Duffy interned with Elder Law of Michigan, prosecuted misdemeanors for the City of Flint, and clerked for the Honorable Joseph Farah of the Genesee County Circuit Court. Ms. Duffy’s experience also includes being a summer associate at a civil litigation firm, where they focused on business litigation and divorce matters.

During law school, Ms. Duffy was active in several legal associations. She was selected to represent MSU as a member of their negotiation team at the American Bar Association Law Student Division Negotiation Regional Competition. Also, she was president of MSU’s Family Law Society.

Ms. Duffy continued her legal education after law school, graduating from the Western Trial Advocacy Institute at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, and acquiring psychodrama and reenactment skill training.

Currently, Ms. Duffy belongs to several professional legal associations including the State Bar of Michigan, American Bar Association, and the Oakland County Bar Association. She has contributed an article on marital property in Michigan for this website.
