“Practicing family law gives me the opportunity to assist my clients during one of the most difficult times in their lives and to help put them back on track so they can move forward with their lives,” Ms. Potter said.

The magnitude of her responsibilities as a family law attorney is not lost on Ms. Potter. She does not take her job lightly because she knows, that at the end of the case, her clients’ lives will be fundamentally changed.

“I truly care about my clients so I strive to obtain the best result and am committed to working tirelessly on their behalves,” she said.

At best, litigation is difficult. That’s especially true when the subject of the litigation is related to family law matters because these decisions impact every aspect of a person’s life.

Throughout this process, Ms. Potter offers her clients guidance and reassurance.

“Aside from bringing my legal expertise to the table, one of my jobs as an attorney is to assist my clients through the process as quickly and painlessly as possible,” Ms. Potter said. “I take that aspect of my job seriously.”

Education

Ms. Potter received her Bachelor of Science and graduated cum laude from Georgia State University. She earned her Juris Doctor and graduated valedictorian from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Cordell & Cordell, Ms. Potter practiced commercial litigation, employment litigation, family law, criminal law, estate planning, contracts, and business litigation.

Associations

Ms. Potter is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers.

Awards

Ms. Potter was recognized from 2013-16 as a Georgia Rising Star in the family law practice area by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters rating service of outstanding lawyers.

She received a Legal Elite award in 2012 and 2013.
