Scott Trout Discusses Upcoming Seminar on The Mark Reardon Show

kmoxCordell & Cordell’s Executive/Managing Partner and CEO, Scott Trout, spoke on The Mark Reardon Show on KMOX today regarding the upcoming Men’s Divorce School in St. Louis, Missouri. The Men’s Divorce School Seminar is on May 13, 2014 at the St. Louis Hilton Frontenac.

Mr. Trout also discussed some of the biggest mistakes men make during divorce, such as moving out of the house too early, and the importance of seeking guidance from an attorney in the appropriate area.

Mark Reardon spoke to Mr. Trout about some of his own personal experiences with the divorce process, acknowledging that it can often be more complicated than first realized.

Mr. Trout emphasized the importance of information early on and of keeping the focus on preparing the client appropriately. He mentioned that Cordell & Cordell often challenges older notions of traditional families or family roles.

“You’ll still see some bias,” Mr. Trout said. “It’s typical for a judge to say, ‘Why doesn’t your client go out and get a job?’ when they might not say that same thing to the mother who stays at home. That’s why we try to challenge the old-school notion and overcome what we all originally thought traditional families meant.”

Those who wish to attend the free Men’s Divorce School seminar in St. Louis on May 13 are encouraged to register beforehand. There is a limited number of seats available.
