6 Cordell & Cordell Attorneys Named Pennsylvania Rising Stars
Six Cordell & Cordell Pennsylvania attorneys were selected to the 2015 Pennsylvania Rising Stars list. These awarded attorneys include Amy Humbert, Richard Julius, Courtney Knox, Jason Lasser, Jana Palko, and Jamie Spero. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
This is the seventh Rising Stars award for Ms. Spero, the fourth for Ms. Palko, and the second for Ms. Knox, Ms. Humbert, Mr. Julius, and Mr. Lasser. Spero, Palko, Knox, Julius, and Lasser practice out of the Pittsburgh office while Humbert works out of the Cranberry Township office.
The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.
Lawyers are asked to nominate the best attorneys who are 40 years old or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. They are instructed to nominate lawyers they have personally observed in action — whether as opposing counsel or co-counsel, or through other firsthand courtroom observation.
