Three Cordell & Cordell Nebraska attorneys were recently recognized as Rising Stars in the family law practice area by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters rating service of outstanding lawyers.
Christopher Pomerleau was named to the Great Plains Rising Stars list for the second consecutive year while Nancy Shannon and Jamie Kinkaid earned the distinction for the first time. All three attorneys practice out of the firm’s Omaha office.
Mr. Pomerleau was also previously named one of the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys’ Top 10 Under 40 Attorneys in Nebraska. He earned his Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law.
Ms. Shannon obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where she was a finalist in Moot court competition and active in Client Counseling activities.
Ms. Kinkaid was named one of Cordell & Cordell’s Regional Top Performers in 2014. She received her Juris Doctor from the Creighton University School of Law.
The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.
Lawyers are asked to nominate the best attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. They are instructed to nominate lawyers they have personally observed in action — whether as opposing counsel or co-counsel, or through other firsthand courtroom observation.
