Cordell & Cordell Tampa family law attorney Lisa Karges was recently named to the 2017 Florida Rising Stars List by Super Lawyers Magazine. This is the fourth consecutive year Karges has received the distinction.
Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Ms. Karges, a Lead Litigator in the firm’s Tampa office, earned her juris doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law while graduating cum laude with a certification in Family Law and Advanced Legal Writing. She has previously presented at Cordell & Cordell’s Continuing Legal Education seminars.
The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.
Lawyers are asked to nominate the best attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. They are instructed to nominate lawyers they have personally observed in action — whether as opposing counsel or co-counsel, or through other firsthand courtroom observation.
