Joe Cordell Chats About Financial Planning On Charlie Brennan Show
Cordell & Cordell Co-Founder and Principal Partner Joe Cordell recently appeared on the Charlie Brennan Show on KMOX Radio 1120 AM-St. Louis to discuss the importance of sound financial planning during the divorce process.
Using the recent lawsuit of Lisa Marie Presley as an example, Mr. Cordell explained how inherited assets can be considered marital during the divorce process.
“Cordell and Cordell has 270 lawyers who are trained to, among other things, figure out those assets that the wife might have received from her parents,” Mr. Cordell said. “How do we identify that or convert that or have that declared a marital asset.
“Generally, those assets in divorce are successful because it’s very difficult for people, even when they’re being careful, to not misstep and convert what would otherwise be a safe separate asset into a marital asset.”
Sorting out marital assets during the division of property can be complicated and it can help having a men’s divorce attorney in your corner to help walk you through the process. If you have any property division questions or are confused with an asset should be considered marital or separate, contact a Cordell & Cordell men’s divorce lawyer.
