Eight Cordell & Cordell Texas divorce attorneys and one New Jersey attorney were recently named Rising Stars in the family law practice area by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters rating service of outstanding lawyers.
Raul Sandoval, Amanda Clepper Harrison, Tomekia Lee-Chaney, Julianne Morgan, Jane Robertson, Sam Sanchez, and Dena Wilson all were named to the Texas list while Michelle Ferreri received the distinction in New Jersey.
This is the eighth time Ms. Ferreri has received the honor. Ms. Harrison, Ms. Morgan, and Ms. Wilson are five-time winners, while Mr. Sandoval, Ms. Morgan, and Mr. Sanchez have been named to the list four times. This is the third time Ms. Lee-Chaney has received the distinction.
Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional development. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive the honor.
The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys.
Lawyers are asked to nominate the best attorneys age 40 or younger, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. They are advised to select lawyers they have personally observed in action – whether as opposing counsel or co-counsel, or through other firsthand courtroom observation.
