Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.
Lawyers are asked to nominate the best attorneys who are 40 years old or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less, and who they have personally observed in action.
Cordell & Cordell Houston divorce lawyer and Team Leader Bryan Abercrombie appeared on Great Day Houston to discuss a pending lawsuit against NFL running back Arian Foster alleging Foster tried to strong-arm his mistress into aborting their unborn child. Foster denies the claims.
Mr. Abercrombie talked about child support in paternity proceedings, including who is responsible for covering medical expenses incurred. He also offered tips on how to handle social media when involved in a child custody or divorce proceeding.
