Cordell & Cordell, along with its sponsored sites Dads Divorce and Men’s Divorce, presents a news video for the week of May 29, 2015.

This week, Cordell & Cordell linked to an appearance Principal Partner Joe Cordell made on Money Radio’s “Business for Breakfast” where he discussed the importance of planning for divorce.

Although divorce should be a last resort, it is sometimes unavoidable. When an individual can anticipate a looming divorce, there are steps they can take to help safeguard themselves financially.

Dads Divorce posted a new video to its DadsDivorce Live series featuring an interview with Cordell & Cordell regional partner Kelly Burris. Ms. Burris discussed a 50/50 child custody bill that is moving through the Texas state legislature.

Texas, and a number of other states, are considering legislation that would help level the custody playing field.

Men’s Divorce added a new Attorney Bites video with Cordell & Cordell family law attorney Kimberly McCabe regarding what to do when served with divorce papers.

When served with papers regarding any family law matter, it is critical to carefully examine them to determine if you have a scheduled court date and see what your other responsibilities are. If there is any confusion, consult with a family law attorney.
