Cordell & Cordell, along with its sponsored sites Dads Divorce and Men’s Divorce, presents a news video for the week of March 20, 2015.

This week, Cordell & Cordell announced that eight attorneys – seven in Texas and one in New Jersey – were named Rising Stars by Super Lawyers, a rating service recognizing outstanding lawyers.

These attorneys were selected through a process involving state-wide surveys of lawyers, independent research evaluations of candidates and peer reviews. No more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state earn the distinction each year.

Dads Divorce published a new article answering six frequently asked questions divorced parents have about parenting time over spring break.

Like holiday breaks, spring break can complicate custody and visitation schedules for divorced parents. However, most questions can be answered by closely examining the specific language of the parenting plan or divorce decree.

Men’s Divorce added a new article explaining what it means to be in contempt of court, the possible consequences of contempt, and how to file a motion of contempt.

Contempt is typically a violation of a court order that can result in civil and criminal penalties, although it is intended to pressure the other party into compliance and is not usually used punitively.
