Cordell & Cordell, along with its sponsored sites Dads Divorce and Men’s Divorce, present a news video for the week of January 23, 2015.

This week, Cordell & Cordell, P.C. announced the opening of a new office in Providence, R.I. The inaugural Rhode Island location marks the firm’s 30th state and is the latest in Cordell & Cordell, P.C.’s continued expansion to extend its reach and help protect the rights of men and father’s nationwide. Many other offices are slated to open in 2015.

Dads Divorce posted a new article explaining what it means to be in contempt of court and what the possible consequences of contempt are.

Determining whether or not an individual is in contempt comes down to examining the court order, or any other document that has been issued into the judgement. Generally, civil contempt cases are not punitive, but used as a coercive power to ask that the contemnor comply with the court’s actions.

Men’s Divorce published an article describing the importance of using clear language and details in divorce decrees and orders.

When vague language is used in decrees and orders, it can often lead to disagreements later on post-divorce. A rule of thumb to remember for writing a decree or order is that if you are in doubt, the more detail the better.
