Two Ohio Attorneys Named Rising Stars By Super Lawyers
Two Cordell & Cordell Ohio attorneys were recently recognized as Rising Stars in the family law practice area by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters rating service of outstanding lawyers.
Marcie Patton-Coffman and Thomas Meade each earned the distinction for the first time. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in each state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
Ms. Patton-Coffman is a senior attorney in Cordell & Cordell’s Cincinnati office. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law and was ranked in the top third of her class. In 2012, she received an award from Cordell & Cordell for her exceptional client care scores.
Mr. Meade is an associate attorney in the firm’s Dayton office. He earned his Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law.
The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.
Lawyers are asked to nominate the best attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. They are instructed to nominate lawyers they have personally observed in action — whether as opposing counsel or co-counsel, or through other firsthand courtroom observation.
