The Springfield Business Journal recently published an article about Cordell & Cordell’s new office opening in Springfield, Ill.
The office, which opened on March 6, is led by associate attorney Samantha M. Hodapp. In the article, Ms. Hodapp explained how being a woman representing men during divorce gives her a unique perspective. 
“Unfortunately, men tend not to get a fair shake in the courtroom,” Ms. Hodapp said. “That’s where I come in. … What motivates me is aggressively representing the rights of men who often do not get the level playing field that women receive in court. Men are often perceived as the enemy in family cases, but that shouldn’t be the case. I’m here to be their advocate and guide them on this sometimes arduous journey.”
The Springfield office is the firm’s fourth in Illinois with other offices in Belleville, Chicago, and Edwardsville.
Cordell & Cordell is continuing to expand across the United States. The firm has opened six new offices in 2017 and is planning further expansion the rest of the year in an effort to help men level the playing field in family law.
