screen-shot-2013-08-13-at-9-52-01-am_featuredThe divorce of Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie continues to dominate the news cycle as details of their split continue to emerge. Cordell & Cordell CEO Scott Trout was one of seven divorce attorneys interviewed by Bustle about lessons that can be learned from their breakup when trying to divorce amicably.

“The problem for Brad is far larger than just a divorce,” Mr. Trout said. “He now faces damage to his reputation with allegations of drug and alcohol use resulting in perhaps violent behavior, even toward the children. This complicates his divorce strategy significantly in that he isn’t just fighting for his kids; he is now faced with the task of restoring his career and public perception.”
