Neve Campbell divorce finalized

The divorce between movie star Neve Campbell and her husband of approximately four years is now final.

According to divorce documents obtained by TMZ, Campbell and her husband, John Light, an English actor, officially split one day after their four-year wedding anniversary. The news source reports that the pair submitted a confidential settlement agreement that splits up the property in their marriage.

The precise terms of the settlement are not known but when divorce papers were initially filed in June, TMZ reports that Campbell had asked the judge to deny her husband spousal support.

The initial filing in Los Angeles Superior Court cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce, although E! Online reports that sources indicate that the split is “very amicable.”

The 37-year-old Campbell is best known for her part in the TV series “Party of Five” and for her role in the “Scream” horror movie series, the first of which came out in 1996. The fourth installment came out this past April and has grossed about $37 million so far, according to the Internet Movie Database website.

Jermaine Jackson child support dispute settled

Jermaine Jackson recently settled a child support dispute with his wife.

Jackson, a former member of the Jackson 5, will pay his wife, Alejandra Jackson, about $80,000 in child support, according to settlement terms. TMZ reported the performer had owed his wife $91,921 in unpaid child support.

Jermaine reportedly paid the settlement amount in full, according to recently filed court documents.

WVUE-TV, a Fox affiliate in New Orleans, reports that Alejandra Jackson first took her ex-husband to court over unpaid child support in 2009. The news source reports that the couple has two children, Jermajesty and Jaffar.

The couple was married in 1995, and Jermaine filed for divorce in 2004.

Jermaine was the initial lead singer of the Jackson Brothers – a forerunner to the Jackson 5 – until his brother and pop icon Michael took over most of the vocal duties in 1968. Jermaine began his solo career in 1972 but remained a part of the group until 1975, when he officially split from his brothers.

Jermaine enjoyed moderate success as a solo artist and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for the album “Let’s Get Serious”, which was released in 1980.

Schwarzenegger, Shriver Separating, Divorce Next

Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver, recently announced that they would be separating.

The star of such iconic movies as “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” and “Predator” married Shriver, a television journalist and niece of President John F. Kennedy, on Cape Cod in 1986, reports The Associated Press. The announcement of their separation comes just months following Schwarzenegger’s two terms in the California governor’s mansion.

“After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion, and prayer, we came to this decision together,” the pair said in a joint statement.

It is unclear if at this early stage of the process whether either party has hired a divorce attorney; the Austrian native said that he is taking it “one day at a time.”

“I just spoke to Maria an hour ago before I came here, and we both were saying the same thing; we are amazed and extremely blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people and so many wonderful friends,” he said at an Israeli Independence Day event in Los Angeles, reports the Huffington Post.

TMZ reports that Shriver has been contemplating divorcing Schwarzenegger for two years.
