Cordell & Cordell attorney Maura Boogay appeared on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia to discuss the high-profile divorce of Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey and Christina Lurie and the impact it may have on the popular NFL franchise.
The Luries have publicly stated their desire for an amicable divorce that will not negatively affect the Eagles, a stark contrast to the bitter divorce battle between Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt and his now ex-wife, Jamie, that resulted in the sale of the iconic MLB team.
Ms. Boogay said the pending divorce’s impact on the ownership of the team will depend on a variety of unknown factors, including whether the Eagles purchase agreement contained contingencies in the event of the owners’ divorce.
