Cordell Launches Divorce Resource Website

Cordell & Cordell, the nation’s largest domestic litigation firm focused on the needs of men, has launched a new look online divorce resource website for men and fathers facing any stage of the divorce process.

DadsDivorce.com offers essential divorce information, resources, and advice about alimony, child support, and child custody through videos, podcasts, articles, and forums.

“We’ve had this site for 10 years and in that time have accumulated a tremendous amount of insight and advice for men going through divorce,” said Joseph Cordell, principal partner of Cordell & Cordell. “There was so much information available that we needed to organize it and have it searchable for specific content.”

The firm offers commentary and advice from their more than 130 lawyers through posted videos, podcasts, divorce articles, and online divorce forums on the website. One major feature of the refurbished site is Ask A Lawyer, in which readers are able to submit questions to Cordell & Cordell lawyers and receive an answer within 48 hours. All lawyers on staff contribute their years of experience to content, including the Ask A Lawyer feature.

“There is no better men’s divorce resource on the web”, says Cordell.

Facebook and Divorce – Time Magazine

Time Magazine examines the phenomenon of social networking as it applies to divorce. Reporter Belinda Luscome quoted DadsDivorce.com founder and Cordell & Cordell Principal Partner Joseph Cordell about Facebook and divorce.

“It’s now just routine for us to go over with clients whether they have an active presence on the Web and if they Twitter, Facebook or have a MySpace page,” Cordell said.

He advises his mostly male clients to scour their page — and their girlfriend’s — for anything that could be used by their ex’s legal team. Then Cordell studies the page of the soon-to-be ex-wife.

“We had a custody case where a mom assured the court that she hadn’t been drinking,” recalls the Missouri-based attorney. “But her MySpace page had actual dated photos of her drinking — and smoking.”

In another case, a mom had listed herself on a dating site as single with no kids, which Cordell’s firm used to cast doubt on her truthfulness.
