Tulsa divorce attorney Timothy Houchin has a master’s degree in counseling and worked as a family and child therapist for several years prior to law school. He has always preferred the “people” practice of law and working to assist people in dealing with the issues and changes that come with family law cases.

“I enjoy trying to help people get through these changes with the least damage possible,” Mr. Houchin said.

Mr. Houchin has a history of dealing with very stressful situations. While he was a therapist, he worked significantly with suicidal teenagers. Over his career he has used that perspective to remain calm and focused no matter how stressful a situation may seem.

“I do my best to remain in the moment and not allow my client’s stress to affect me or my work,” he said.
