“Family law allows me the benefit of the marriage of my education and law enforcement experience to help guide people through one of the most difficult times in their lives to a more positive transition for their second act in life,” she said.

The divorce process is daunting, but Ms. Hoxsey helps her clients see the forest through the trees.

“While times are tough now, the end result will allow you the freedom to reinvent yourself, courage to move on, and shed the anxiety of the unknown,” she said. “I believe I am giving clients a new beginning, not an ending.”

Education

Ms. Hoxsey received her Bachelor of Arts from Emory University and her Master of Social Work from Tulane University. She earned her Juris Doctor from Emory University.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Cordell & Cordell, Ms. Hoxsey practiced family law. Throughout law school, she interned with Georgia’s Attorney General (Medicaid Fraud Unit), United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia (Drug Unit), and DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office (Gang Unit).
