Ms. McDonald is an empathetic person, which helps her connect and build relationships with her clients.

“I am able to relate to the clients and let them know that they are not alone and that I will be there to help them,” she said.

Ms. McDonald can’t guarantee that the process will be easy. Divorce rarely is. However, she can ensure that her clients always have a partner in their corner that will do whatever it takes to protect their rights.

“I have their best interests in mind and I understand that the process is difficult,” she said. “I will also make myself available to answer whatever questions they have.”

Ms. McDonald is licensed to practice in Mississippi and Tennessee.


Ms. McDonald received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with minors in English and French from the University of Southern Mississippi. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law.

While in law school, she assisted on a death penalty case in which she successfully assisted in delaying the execution. She was also awarded a fellowship at the National Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers in Washington, D.C., and was a volunteer for North Mississippi Rural Legal Services.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Cordell & Cordell, Ms. McDonald practiced judicial clerkship, bankruptcy, and criminal law. After law school, she worked as a judicial law clerk to Honorable Ceola James on the Mississippi Court of Appeals.


Ms. McDonald is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association.


Ms. McDonald is a Practice Quality Mentor for Cordell & Cordell. She is a past volunteer for Wills for Heroes.
