“When a relationship comes to an end, we can find ourselves ruled by our most powerful emotions — sadness, anger, and frustration,” Mr. Elkins-Barkley said. “Only then do many of us discover that the law will at that, the worst of times, intrude into our personal lives, defining our rights and obligations within our own families.”

“I am here to make sure that when what is most important is at stake, you have an adviser and advocate who knows the terrain and can guide you through,” Mr. Elkins-Barkley said.

Even when the situation seems insurmountable, Mr. Elkins-Barkley pledges to do everything within his power to guide his clients through every step of the divorce process.

“Brandon does great with keeping me informed; I never feel out of the loop. He has been awesome! He never gives me unrealistic expectations.  Brandon always gives me my options and gives outstanding advice. He has been great and very level headed, which I needed.”

“Brandon did a really good job. I had a hard time in the beginning emotionally with paying attention and understanding all the legal explanations. I have never had a lawyer before, but it seemed like Brandon met all my needs. I am really glad I hired a lawyer, because it gave me peace of mind that I am doing everything I can to take care of my rights and my son. I like Brandon on a personal level too. He is very professional but could sneak in a light anecdote at just the right time. He did a great job on my case.”

“Brandon is doing great [at] making good judgment calls and good tactics. Anytime I have a question, all I have to do ask. He gets back to me really quick.”

“Brandon is [a] very calm person, and he didn’t put on a show.  Basically, he tried to tell me the worst case scenarios and prepared me [so that] if it did turn out unfavorably, it wouldn’t  be a surprise.  He is [a] very down to earth and no-nonsense person.  I felt really comfortable with him as my attorney.”

“Brandon was always very responsive to my calls and emails. He explained everything very thoroughly and took the time to explain parts of my case that I didn’t understand. He was patient with me when I was slow in providing answers or documentation and made me feel comfortable during a very uneasy time.”

“Brandon’s communication has been good, and he’s counseled me well.  He gave me the facts to help me make the best decisions.  So far I’m very happy with the direction the case has been moving.”

“Either by email or phone, he gets back with me; he’s good about that.
He does an excellent job of hearing me and letting me vent, then he’ll give me feedback and does a really good job. He’s an excellent attorney. He has great motions and great ideas. … I really like his motions to the court, and probably 95% of what I’m trying to convey he’s able to put into motion. He does a really good job talking to opposing counsel … and keeping them in check. He knows the law and is really good off the cuff. He knows what the judges and the court will accept and not accept. He has a very good understanding of the law and is a really good attorney.”

“Obviously money is a sensitive subject, but for the service that I’m getting I expect to be billed for what I’m getting.  I’m impressed with what I’ve seen thus far.  I’ve checked out other firms and spoke with people that went with [Cordell & Cordell], and they’ve said all good things.  Everything is great so far, but it is still early in the case.  So far I’m very satisfied.”

“He is doing everything he is supposed to be doing and I’m getting what I paid for.”

“[Brandon has] been really good about returning my calls. He’s very thorough in his explanations regarding his actions plans and the directions that we’re going. He’s been great. …”

“Mr. Elkins-Barkley is very good at returning calls and emails. He is always willing to work around my schedule to effective communicate with me regarding my case. Mr. Elkins-Barkley has spent a lot of time researching for my case. He is knowledgeable with the law, pertaining to my case, and I put my trust in him to help me make decisions for a good outcome. He advises but also listens to what it is that I am seeking. I was happy with the ease of getting a knowledgeable attorney in the state I needed, who was upfront with the cost. I also liked being able to make payments and review my case through the portal.”
