NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. SUBMISSIONS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A LEGAL PARTNERSHIP.
SPONSOR
Cordell & Cordell, 600 Kellwood Parkway, Suite 310, Town and Country, MO 63017 (“Sponsor”) will serve as the sponsor of this The Father’s Day Contest (this “Contest”).
ELIGIBILITY
This Contest is open to individuals who, at the time of completing an Entry (defined below) are at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever is older, and are legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico, all United States territories and possessions and the States of New York and Florida). You need not be present to win. Employees (and their immediate families or those living in the same household) of Sponsor and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, parent and related companies, suppliers, printers and advertising, promotional and judging agencies are not eligible to enter or win. Individuals who appear on the U.S. Government Department of Treasury’s Specially Designated Nations List are also not eligible to enter or win. By participating in this Contest, participants agree to be bound by these official rules (these “Official Rules”) and by the decisions of the Sponsor in all matters relating to this Contest.
CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest begins at 12:00 A.M. Central Time (“CT”) on June 3, 2022 and ends at 11:59 P.M. CT on June 15, 2022 (“Contest Period”). All entries must be completed or mailed during the Contest Period. Winners will be notified after the Contest Period has ended. Sponsor’s computer is the official time keeping device for the Contest.
HOW TO ENTER
Father’s Day Entry Method: During the Contest Period, individuals submit their fatherhood stories by fully completing the text form on https://cordellcordell.com/fathers-day and providing all other information requested by Sponsor. Each Father’s Day Entry will be deemed to have been received by Sponsor upon the completion of the text form, the entrant proving all information requested and pressing “submit.”
Mail-In Entry Method: Alternatively, you may enter this Contest by hand-printing the words “Father’s Day Contest,” your name, age, address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, and e-mail address (if applicable) on a 3” x 5” card and mailing it in an envelope to: Father’s Day Contest c/o Cordell & Cordell Marketing Dept, 600 Kellwood Parkway, Suite 310, Town and Country, MO, 63017. All mail-in entries become the property of Sponsor and in no case shall be returned to the entrant. Each entrant who enters this Contest using this Mail-In Entry Method will receive one (1) entry to this Contest for the day the mail-in entry is sent to Sponsor (as evidenced by a post-mark).
Limit 1 entry per person during the Contest Period. Entries in excess of this limit will be void and disqualified if discovered by Sponsor.
Proof of depositing entry in mail is not considered proof of delivery or receipt. No photocopied or mechanically reproduced entries will be accepted. Illegible, incomplete and duplicate entries will be disqualified. Entries will not be accepted from post office boxes. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. No responsibility is assumed by the Sponsor for any inability of a potential entrant to successfully enter this Contest for any reason.
Entries that are late, illegible, mechanically reproduced, contain false information, damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled or incomplete, altered, contain disparaging or inappropriate information, or otherwise irregular in the sole and absolute discretion of Sponsor, that have been submitted or generated using robotic, programmed, script, or any other automated means, or illicit means, or do not conform with or satisfy any or all of the conditions set out in these Official Rules, as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion, may be judged void and disqualified. All online entries become the property of Sponsor and in no case shall be returned to the entrant.
If it is discovered that an entrant has registered or attempted to register more than once using multiple e-mail addresses, multiple websites, telephone numbers, multiple identities, IP addresses, use of proxy servers or any other method of unauthorized entry, all in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, all of that entrant’s entries will be declared null and void, entrant will be disqualified from this Contest and any prize that entrant might have been entitled to receive will not be awarded to him/her. Entries that are late, lost, illegible, duplicated, mechanically reproduced, contain false information, damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled or incomplete, altered or otherwise irregular in the sole discretion of Sponsor, that have been submitted or generated using robotic, programmed, script, or any other automated means, or illicit means, or do not conform with or satisfy any or all of the conditions set out in these Official Rules, as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion, may be judged void and disqualified.
PRIZES; WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
At the end of the Contest Period, the first fifteen hundred (1500) eligible entries will be emailed a ten (10) dollar meal delivery credit. Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winners via the email provided during entry.
At the end of the Contest Period, the first one hundred (100) entries where the checkbox to indicate interest in receiving a free 30-minute consultation will be notified by Sponsor via the email provided during entry.
At the end of the Contest Period, three (3) entries will be selected at random, via a third-party entity, to win the following prizes: 1st place will receive 4 tickets to a local sporting event (“Tickets”) with a value up to $100 each, plus $100 to spend to a local sporting event (each, a “Sporting Event”); 2nd place will receive 4 Tickets with a value up to $50 each, plus $50 to spend at a Sporting Event; 3rd place will receive 4 Tickets with a value up to $30, plus $30 to spend at a Sporting Event (collectively, the “Grand Prizes”). The Tickets that are a part of the Grand Prizes will be chosen by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
Approximate retail value (“ARV”) for all prizes is $15,900.00.
MEAL DELIVERY CREDITS CONDITIONS: The meal delivery credits are subject to terms, conditions and policies specified by issuer. Such terms and conditions may include any or all of the following, as well as others: credits may not be redeemable for cash, or used for payment on accounts, or used for the payment of prior purchases; credits are non-refundable; purchases and amounts spent or deducted may be non-refundable; credits may expire on a designated date; and credits may be redeemable only by legal residents of the United States. Use of an said credits constitutes acceptance of the issuer’s terms, conditions and policies, and as such, each winner of a credit should carefully read the terms, conditions and policies. Each winner should also safeguard the credits as he/she would any other valuable item. The credits is useable up to its balance only. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, associated with, or otherwise related to the issuer of the meal credits.
TICKET CONDITIONS: This provision shall apply to any Prize that consists of Tickets. All costs and expenses associated with the acceptance and use of Tickets not expressly specified herein as being provided as part of the prize, including but not limited to taxes, lodging, travel, meals, beverages, alcoholic beverages, parking, gratuities, transportation and other costs and expenses incurred by use of the Tickets are the sole responsibility of the winning entrant (collectively, as used in this paragraph, “Ticket Winner”). Seat locations shall be determined in the sole discretion of Sponsor, unless otherwise specified herein. Sporting Event and exhibition dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of the organizer, as applicable, and may be subject to change. The terms and conditions of the Tickets will govern in the event an event or exhibition is not held, due to weather conditions, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance or any other reason. If Ticket Winner cannot attend the Sporting Event on the date and at the time specified in the Ticket, then Sponsor shall have no further obligation to the Ticket Winner. Sponsor does not guarantee that the Sporting Event will take place on a particular date or time. Sponsor will have no responsibility to any Ticket Winner if any event is cancelled or rescheduled. Ticket Winner and his/her guest(s) agree to comply with all applicable venue regulations in connection with the Tickets. Sponsor and the Sporting Event organizer reserve the right to remove or to deny entry to the Ticket Winner and/or his/her guest who engage(s) in a disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the event or exhibition. Sponsor and Sporting Event organizers will not be responsible for weather conditions, Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any event or exhibition. Tickets awarded as prizes may not be resold or offered for resale, redeemed for cash, rescheduled or used for any commercial or promotional purpose whatsoever. Any such resale or commercial or promotional use may result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize, and may invalidate the license granted by the event or exhibition ticket(s).
Potential winners may be required to sign and return documents requested by Sponsor within seven (7) days, including but not limited to, an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release (unless prohibited by law).
If a potential winner (i) is determined to be ineligible, (ii) fails to respond to the initial verification message within one (1) week of notification or after three (3) attempts (whichever occurs first), (iii) fails to return all required documentation fully executed within the specific period of time, (iv) is not in compliance with these Official Rules, or (v) declines to accept the prize, the potential winner forfeits the prize in its entirety and an alternate winner may be selected at Sponsor’s sole discretion and time permitting. The meal delivery credit will be sent to winners via email at the email address provided at time of winner confirmation. Meal delivery credit is subject to the delivery service’s terms and conditions.
PRIZE CONDITIONS
THIS CONTEST AND ALL PRIZES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION, GUARANTEE OR CONDITION OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED OR OTHER WARRANTIES SO THE ABOVE DISCLAIMER MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU TO THE EXTENT SUCH JURISDICTIONS LAW IS APPLICABLE TO YOU AND THESE OFFICIAL RULES.
All federal, state, local tax liabilities and any applicable fees associated with accepting a prize or participation in this Contest are the sole responsibility of the winners. Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, withhold from the amount of any prize any and all federal, state, local tax liabilities and any applicable fees associated with accepting a prize or participation in this Contest.
If a winner declines a prize, or if person who is chosen is not an eligible entrant or has not complied with these Official Rules, such person shall be disqualified and another person will be selected in a drawing for the prize.
No transfer, substitution, division or splitting of prizes allowed.
Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of comparable or greater value in its sole discretion. Winner cannot substitute, transfer or redeem non-cash portion of prize for cash. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Limit one (1) prize per person. Sponsor is under no obligation to award more than the number of prizes stated herein.
GRANT OF RIGHTS TO ENTRIES/PUBLICITY GRANT
By submitting an Entry, each entrant grants to Sponsor and its licensees, successors and assigns an irrevocable, perpetual, unlimited, royalty-free, fully paid-up license to reproduce, distribute, display, exhibit, exploit, perform, edit, create derivatives of, and otherwise use the entry and all elements of such Entry, together with any other material, and the name, user name, city and state of residence, voice, image and/or likeness of entrant (including, but not limited to, applicable profile photo), in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in any manner, in whole or in part, worldwide, without compensation or notification to, or permission from, entrant or any third party, for any purpose whatsoever, including without limitation, for purposes of advertising or trade. Released Parties (defined below) are not responsible for any unauthorized use of Entries by third parties. Sponsor has no obligation to make use of the rights granted herein.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE
By participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees that this Contest Parties, affiliates, advertising agents and promotional partners, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death to persons or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prize or participation in this Contest. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, stolen, altered, garbled, incorrect, illegible, postage-due, mutilated, incomplete or delayed entries, emails, mail or other communications, all of which will be void. Released Parties are also not responsible for problems related to unauthorized human intervention or for technical malfunctions of electronic equipment, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer hardware or software failures, phone lines, traffic congestion on the internet or any website, or for any other technical problems including telecommunication, miscommunication or failure, and failed, lost, delayed, incomplete, garbled, or misdirected communications, which may prevent the receipt of an entry or otherwise limit an entrant’s ability to participate in this Contest. Released Parties are not responsible for any other errors or malfunctions of any kind, whether network, printing, typographical, human or otherwise relating to or in connection with this Contest, including, without limitation, errors or malfunctions which may occur in connection with the administration of this Contest, the processing of Entries, the announcement of the prize(s) or in any Contest-related materials.
As a condition of entering, each entrant agrees (and agrees to confirm in writing if requested by Sponsor) that to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law: (i) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, indirect, special, exemplary, or consequential damages and (ii) that any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, excluding attorneys’ fees and court costs. Furthermore, as a condition of entering, each entrant agrees that submission of an Entry constitutes permission to use the entrant’s name, image, likeness, voice, biographical information, and any testimonial statement provided by entrant for purposes of advertising, marketing, and trade, in any medium in connection with this Contest, without further notice, approval, or compensation, unless prohibited by law.
LEGAL WARNING
ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT A PARTICIPANT, TO DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND DILIGENTLY PURSUE ALL REMEDIES AGAINST ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
SPONSOR’S RESERVATION OF RIGHTS
If this Contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including without limitation, due to a force majeure event, pandemic, or infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who is responsible or who tampers with the entry process or otherwise acts in violation of these Official Rules (and void all associated Entries), and to cancel, modify, or terminate this Contest. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prize(s) from all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to cancellation or otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. In the event that an Entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost or destroyed, entrant’s sole remedy shall be another Entry into this Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to modify the Official Rules for clarification purposes, even after this Contest Period has begun.
GOVERNING LAW, JURISDICTION, AND SEVERABILITY
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrants’ rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with this Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of State of Missouri, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. By entering, entrants agree to the jurisdiction and venue of the state and local courts located in St. Louis County, Missouri and the federal courts located in the Eastern District of Missouri for the resolution of all disputes, and agree that any and all disputes shall be resolved exclusively in those courts. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision. If any provision of these Official Rules is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck, and the remaining provisions shall be enforced. In the event of a conflict between these Official Rules and any marketing materials, these Official Rules will govern.
PRIVACY
Any personally identifiable information collected during an entrant’s participation in this Contest will be collected by Sponsor or its designee and used by Sponsor for the proper administration and fulfillment of this Contest and as otherwise described in these Official Rules, and in accordance with Sponsor’s Consumer Privacy Policy, available at https://cordellcordell.com/about/privacy-policy/.

You may obtain copies of the Official Rules or a list of Winners by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope that reads: Winners List – or – Official Rules, Father’s Day Contest c/o Cordell & Cordell Marketing Dept, 600 Kellwood Parkway, Suite 310, Town and Country, MO, 63017; all requests must be received within six (6) months after the end of the Contest Period.
