Leading into the Father’s Day holiday, several Cordell & Cordell family law attorneys made radio appearances to raise awareness concerning the many challenges dads face at different stages of the divorce process.

Divorce is an emotionally draining process, and it can be especially difficult for fathers, who often seem to be at a disadvantage in issues pertaining to family law.

In his interview with KCMO-Kansas City, Cordell & Cordell Principal Partner Joe Cordell emphasized how important it is for dads to remain steadfast in the aftermath of divorce.

“I think one of the most important things is persistence,” Mr. Cordell said. “Often, dads, in the aftermath of divorce, don’t have money and in part, it might be because of money they might be paying mom if dad doesn’t have primary custody. If that’s the case, then it’s difficult for dads to keep pushing and sometimes dads just give up. They become exhausted emotionally and financially.”

Cordell & Cordell Executive/Managing Partner and CEO Scott Trout discussed the firm’s mission in his interview with KKOB-Albuquerque.

“It’s about ensuring that the family remains as much intact as possible and ensuring dads stay involved in their kids’ lives after divorce,” Mr. Trout said.
