Bryan L. Abercrombie is a Litigation Manager in the Fort Worth, Texas office of Cordell & Cordell where his primary practice is exclusively in the area of domestic relations. Mr. Abercrombie is Board Certified in the area of Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is licensed in the state of Texas.

A native of Arlington, Texas, Mr. Abercrombie received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at Arlington and his Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, where he was active in the Moot Court Honors Program.  While in law school, Mr. Abercrombie served as a Corporate Compliance Manager for Laidlaw, Inc.  He has extensive experience in domestic relations matters including trial, jury trial, appellate and collaborative experience.

Mr. Abercrombie has successfully litigated many cases involving complex custody issues. He has also successfully litigated to trial or settlement complex property cases involving millions of dollars in assets. Additionally, he successfully argued an appeal before the Second District Court of Appeals in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Abercrombie has also appeared on news special investigation programs advocating for the rights of his clients. 

Mr. Abercrombie was named a Rising Star in the area of family law by Texas Monthly in 2009 and 2010 and top attorney in family law by Fort Worth Magazine. He is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, Tarrant, Dallas and Denton County Bar Associations, Dallas Area Young Lawyers Association as well as the Texas Wesleyan Mentor Program. He also gives back to his community and is involved in the Dallas Bar Association’s Legal Aid to Military Personnel Program as well as a volunteer at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

In addition to his community efforts, Mr. Abercrombie is Director of the House Corporation for Sigma Chi Fraternity at the University of Texas at Arlington. He is an avid reader, passionate cyclist and enthusiast of American history, and he has been an invited guest speaker at the Arlington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution on several occasions.
