A divorce is an emotionally traumatic experience and is often one of the most difficult experiences a person will go through. Ms. Cavin is naturally empathetic and listens intently to her client’s concerns so she knows how best to proceed with their case.

Education

Ms. Cavin earned her bachelor of science in psychology and bachelor of arts in political science from Howard University. She received her juris doctor from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law.

Professional Experience

Before joining Cordell & Cordell, Ms. Cavin’s practice was concentrated in commercial civil litigation. She represented major financial/banking institutions in disputes involving federal and state consumer protection statutes, common law contract and tort claims, lender liability with respect to mortgage lending, foreclosures, evictions, and various other types of lending and credit issues. Alexandra actively defended financial institutions in claims involving fraud, bad faith lending, common law contracts and torts, Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) in over 1,000 mediations, landlord/tenant matters and hearings.
