Though she offers her clients support, empathy, and encouragement, Ms. Morgan said her main role throughout the process is to act as an advocate.

“At all times, my number one priority is to passionately and effectively advocate for my client to accomplish the goals we have established,” she said.

Her refusal to accept the status quo was never more evident than when a father she represented was awarded primary custody after originally being given limited visitation at the temporary orders hearing.

“I feel that I am able to provide my clients with not only valuable experience in family law but a clear and realistic perspective on the issues they are facing and an effective strategy to accomplish their goals,” Ms. Morgan said.

Education

Ms. Morgan received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in History from the University of Oklahoma. She also received her Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma.

Professional Experience

Prior to Cordell & Cordell, Ms. Morgan worked in family law, criminal law, wills and trusts, constitutional law, and torts.

Her experience in family law includes cases involving modifications of child support and child custody, termination of parental rights, grandparent rights, child support, and enforcement issues. She also is experienced in handling complex property division.

Ms. Morgan belongs to the following organizations: American Bar Association, Texas State Bar, San Antonio Bar Association, Dallas Bar Association – Family Law Section, Dallas Young Lawyers Association.

Awards

Ms. Morgan was recognized from 2015-2017 as a Texas Rising Star in the family law practice area by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters rating service of outstanding lawyers.

Ms. Morgan was awarded the Paul K. Frost Scholarship while in law school. The selection was based on academic achievement, strength of character, and leadership ability. She also placed second in the American Bar Association Client Counseling Regional competition while in law school.
