Erica Gittings

Regional Partner

Wisconsin Divorce Lawyer Erica GittingsTo Erica Gittings, a parent is a parent regardless of gender.

“I like making sure the court actually recognizes that children need both of their parents and ensuring they are looked at as parents whether they are a man or a woman,” she said.

Her experience as a Guardian ad Litem helps her when it comes to custody battles and provides a real benefit to her clients.

“I’m able to prepare my client better when meeting with a Guardian ad Litem because I know what they are looking since I am one,” Ms. Gittings said.

In fact, Ms. Gittings had a client who was awarded sole custody and primary placement of his children while “making sure the kids had the least amount of exposure to the trauma of the situation.”

Recognizing that this is a difficult time in your life, it is important to have an advocate to protect your interests both in the present and in the future.

“I am proud to provide each of my clients with the knowledge, attention, dedication and compassion they deserve,” Ms. Gittings said.

“Erica was VERY helpful to us during a very stressful time, including communicating with us outside normal business hours when we know she was also a new parent and moving. We had lost hope of ever seeing our granddaughter and she gave us reasons to continue. She had to deal with an unreasonable adversary on our behalf. We really appreciate her help.”

“Erica is very professional and personable. She does a tremendous job at retaining information through difficult times and conversations. Erica is great at follow up and attention to detail. She always crosses her T’s and dots her I’s. She was referred to me by close friends and absolutely has a commendable reputation in Madison. I’ve already referred Erica to several people.”

“Erica was fantastically well prepared! … Erica’s prep helped move things along quickly. Her strategy was great! She always knew what was going on. In the past I’ve worked with attorneys that have frustrated me with their lack of ability to recall the details of my case. This never happened with Erica. She always knew what was going on and I never had to remind her. Erica was a great representation of the firm!”

“I am very impressed. Erica is fantastic! Erica’s final addressing of the court was so compelling, I wish I could have a copy for myself. This was a particularly challenging case as my ex is also an attorney. I received great representation from Erica despite all of these obstacles. I fully trust Erica to do the best for me.”

“Erica is very personable! She is very matter of fact but has always taken the time to listen to my thoughts – realistic or not. Her feedback may not have always been what I’ve wanted to hear, but it’s always what I needed to hear. I always know my best interest is at heart when she’s giving me advice.”
