“Family law cases catch a whole family at a critical transition point, and I am honored to h ave the chance to guide clients through that transition to a successful resolution,” Ms. Costantino said. “I became a lawyer because I wanted to help people solve important problems, and what could be more important than family?”

Ms. Costantino believes finding the humor in a situation makes any process easier. Family law cases can be very stressful for clients, so she tries to find a laugh when appropriate.

She also tells her clients to think of her like a partner in resolving their case since they both have important knowledge. The client knows what’s best for their family, what’s important to them, and what they want to achieve.

“I know how to navigate the court system, what tactics will best achieve their goals, and how to handle the surprises that come with litigation,” she said. “If we can get on the same page and work together, the case will go smoothly.”

Education

Ms. Costantino earned her Bachelor of Arts with Highest Honors from Vanderbilt University. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law.

Professional Experience

After graduating from law school, Ms. Costantino clerked for Family Magistrate Theresa A. Furnari in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Since her clerkship, she has practiced family law exclusively. She has some experience with estate matters and domestic violence proceedings. She also has training as a mediator and in collaborative practice.
