Dayton divorce attorney Andrew C. Palmer chose to pursue family law because of the challenge it presents and the variety that every case offers.
Moreover, he enjoys the personal connection he is able to build with his clients.
“Family law allows you to know your client’s desires, hopes, and ambitions,” Mr. Palmer said. “Plus, in family law you can leave the office at the end of the day knowing you did some good in someone’s life.”
Mr. Palmer is direct and tells his clients what they need to hear, not what they want to hear.
“Attorneys do not do their clients any favors by trying to hide the reality of the situation from them,” he said. “I am empathetic to a client’s feelings and situation, but I’m not going to hold things back either.”
Mr. Palmer always tells his clients in their initial meeting that it’s his intent to help them, not to judge them. That requires total honesty.
“I like to give my clients a healthy dose of reality right from the start,” he said. “If I think the case will be relatively simple, I say so. If I think the case will be long and difficult, I warn the client to prepare for that.
“Whatever the outlook, I make sure the client knows I will be with them every step of the way and am always available should they need me for anything.”
