Mel Gibson and his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva have reached a milestone in their battle for child custody and child support, the New York Times reports.

The couple’s daughter, Lucia, will share equally with Gibson’s other children in his estate, and Grigorieva will reportedly receive three payments of $750,000 in child support.

The financial arrangement is subject to penalties if either party violates an agreement barring them from discussing their relationship in public, according to the news source. The two ex-lovers must also refrain from writing or contributing to books or articles about the the other, stated Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Peter D. Lichtman.

This legally-binding decision comes after many months of tumultuous and very public battles between Hollywood leading man Gibson and Grigorieva, an aspiring musician.

“The purpose and goal of today’s hearing is to provide complete closure of this matter,” Lichtman said at the trial.

Lucia was born in October 2009, according to CNN, and Gibson was charged with misdeanor domestic battery in January 2010. Grigorieva was also accused of trying to extort money from Gibson.
