Family Law Firm Pitched as Divorced Guy’s Guys

The Wall Street Journal recently wrote an article detailing Cordell & Cordell’s unique approach of representing men in divorce.

Most state laws do not allow courts to decide a case by giving preferential treatment to one gender or the other. But according to Joseph Cordell, Principal Partner of Cordell & Cordell, men need help countering “influential organizations outside the mainstream of society and their insistence on women’s interests to the utter exclusion of the merits of a given case.”

Cordell noted that “men often have to work a little harder to be awarded primary custody. When you’re disadvantaged, you’ll continue to be so unless you do what you can to help yourself.”

Cordell & Cordell and its website DadsDivorce.com are not political activism forums, nor are they actively involved in the fathers’ or men’s rights movement. Cordell explains that the firm’s clients “don’t have the time to invest in legislative or social movements. They’re fighting for their families, not a cause.”
